This job ranks right up there as one of the strangest shoots I’ve had the pleasure to supervise. Wearing the hats of VFX Supervisor and Motion Design Animator, we set out to film a baby spinning on a turnstile, doing a full 360. Since babies have notoriously short workdays, we actually brought in triplets to keep things rolling. As if that wasn’t quirky enough, we also shot a little person in a green screen head cover, spinning at the same speed while air-writing. All these pieces were stitched together with motion design layered on top to pull off something that feels straight out of sci-fi—a six-month-old baby writing text in midair. Somehow, we made the impossible feel downright charming.
