About Tom Jacobsen
Director, animator, photographer, editor, artist, and all-around collaborator—Tom is an impressionistic storyteller who loves mixing mediums to bring fresh ideas to life. His work often blends animation, hand-drawn elements, digital sets, live action, and green screen to craft visually striking stories with a strong narrative core.
Tom’s projects have been recognized by institutions like MoMA, the Weisman Art Museum, Walker Art Center, MTV Music Video Awards, The Show, and film festivals around the globe. He studied fine art at St. Olaf College in Minnesota and went on to earn his MFA in film and animation from UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, and Television.
